HEART FAILURE BLOG 12.21.17Congestive heart failure (CHF) is a condition affecting five million Americans, according to Emory Healthcare. It is the reason for 11 million doctors’ visits every year and is responsible for more hospitalizations than all cancers combined.

Along with its vast presence in the U.S. population, its mortality rates unfortunately remain relatively high. More than half of those diagnosed will pass away within five years, according to Emory Healthcare. According to a survey conducted by Princeton Survey Research Associates International, 25% of Americans have neglected their medical care, or know someone who has, due to the costs.
