Dr. Sumith Aleti has earned board certifications in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, peripheral vascular imaging, & internal medicine. These certifications required many sacrifices along the way and a change in his attitude. By changing his attitude to focus on his goals rather than focus on his sacrifices, Dr. Aleti was able to build the future he envisioned for himself.

12 Million Americans Suffer from PAD – Are You at Risk?

Peripheral Arterial Disease, or PAD, is a narrow blockage of the artery that can lead to heart attack or stroke – and it affects 12 million Americans. Dr. Jason Roberts sat down with WSOS 99.5 St. Augustine Radio to share more information about this condition:

  • PAD is most common in men and women over the age of 65.
  • Risk factors for PAD include smoking (even electronic cigarettes), a family history, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
  • Symptoms can manifest themselves in the legs – including pain while walking, poor toenail growth, one leg getting colder than the other, and a lack of hair below the knee.

Treating Varicose Veins, with Dr. Jason Roberts

If you’re ever on the golf course with Dr. Jason Roberts, watch your socks. That’s where Dr. Roberts often notices symptoms of venous insufficiency, commonly known as varicose veins. In a radio interview with WSOS 99.5 St. Augustine Radio, Dr. Roberts discussed the symptoms of varicose veins, why women experience it more often than men, noticing “sock disease” on the golf course, and the ways he and the rest of the team at FCCI can treat this condition.
